    To me it b the future of the middle east along with Turkey and maybe Iran. The only issue is with the treatment of the lower class workers which could one day result in a revolt and that would end their little civilization. Arabs still practice slavery to a degree today.

    True. It's really horrible. Beneath all the wealth and glittery skyscrapers, there's horrible exploitation of workers going on. And it's virtually impossible to voice dissent there. Even now, with the Qatar world cup coming on, reports have surfaced of horrible slavery-like conditions for workers. And the saddest of all is that the world has chosen to turn a blind eye, just because they like the Qatari money. Pathetic!

    That was all back handed envelopes to poor nations, for their vote.

    I'd have blocked it. With workers dying over there.

    Or even a Boycott. We do this in most World cups.
