Gerogians are by religion and some cultural elements via the Byzantine creed. Turks however are more genetically European in phenotype and genes. Also Georgians are pure West Asians, somewhat more distant to Europeans genetic wise than Turks are. Turks also have similar Mongoloid admix to some European populations in Northern and Eastern Europe. So it's not clear cut as some people would say.

The Turkish paradox is that the coastline is European, but the mainland is Asian, and no, the Russian civilization was not that much influential (rather the opposite, even Stalin himself was Georgian) and Turkey was cut off from the rest of the world during much of the Kemalist era, when no Turk was allowed to travel outside of Turkey, except for the diplomats...

Well, now it is the time to turn the tables on you: Perhaps the only haplogroup that originates in Europe is I1. Should all of the other haplogroups be declared non-European?
Ultimately, we all descend from the same monkey in Africa. Our differences are primarily cultural, not colorful...
