Of the Pontians on 23andme, they generally score like 75% "Middle Eastern" and 25% "Italian". So make of that what you will. If the Italian on there is southern Italian, which is similar to Greek proper, then maybe Pontians are genetically ~25% Greek.
Cypriots score roughly half and half, so I'd say they are more genetically Greek even if they are Levantine influenced.

Pontians are just Hellenized Anatolians and closest kin to Armenians, and other Anatolian folks. Cypriots are Hellenized Levantines but do have some true Greek blood more so than the Pontians.

Sikeliot, you should make a thread displaying Pontian results next to Turkish results (please) in 23 and me.

I don't have Turkish results but I do have Elias Alucard on 23andme. Either way I can just show you a Pontian compared to a Greek islander and you'll see the difference. Greek islanders are said to have some ancestry from Carians (a SW Anatolian group) anyhow.

Truthfully I think Eastern Sicilians and Calabrese are more Greek than either but what do I know?

One thing is clear, both of those people are more ancient Greek than Sikeliot.
