Not quite.. indeed was used by templars in northern italy & elsewhere then later adopted however this was a reaffirmation. In truth the cross was first introduced by roman commander Tiberius (not the emperor) centuries before Christ, when before a battle he saw a very 'impressionable' light in the sky resembling the cross (+). He then ordered his men to paint this symbol on their shields, they achieved a great victory. This battle was apparently insurmountable, & significant for their place in the italic peninsula, & the commander accredited their surprise victory to the cross.
*** Importantly this 'event' occurred when the romans were a migration of Hebrew partisans, not the hellenized empire we remember them by. Therefore I would suggest the Christian cross was actually contrived somewhere between 1100 BC & 500 BC (after the founding of Alba Longa & before the upheaval of the roman kingdom, when they mutated into a hellensitic republic).
Note nearly all records of origins of the cross & the romans were destroyed in the early middle ages & during other sackings
I believe the late romans using the same cross as both a means & symbol of execution illustrates a clear paradox to its origins of hope, & smites their ancient lineage.
Also given the proceedings of european history I guarantee the cross will always link to controversy, in the same way that the swastika does.
>There you have two Atlantean symbols ADOPTED by greek descendants, with connotations REVERSED. The importance here is critical.
