So I looked this up, and if every Japanese person has it, then that's really weird: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mongolian_spot. Apparently it's 'extremely prevalent' in nearly every population except Caucasian and Subsaharan populations. You learn new things every day, I suppose.

It's also weird that they care so much about the ancestry of one very distant family member. Probably no more than 1% of their ancestry by DNA.

It's be like Francois Hollande taking out Dutch citizenship or something.
