All four of my great-grandfathers were warriors of some sort (including a fighter pilot and a military intelligence officer). One of my grandfathers was a physicist, the other an economist/professional union organizer. One grandmother was a programmist/mathematician, the other an engineer (aviation engines). My father was a medical doctor and my mother died young, before that she studied mathematics.

Paternal side: soldiers, farmers and loggers...my father is electrician.
Maternal side:craftsmans, soldiers, my grandfather was professional driver and hunter, and my grandmother was banker. My mother is hairdresser. My grandmother wanted her to be a banker and she forced her to study economy, but my mother hated it and after two years she left the college. After that she wanted to start studying medicine, but my grandmother didn't want to hear about that and she sent her to study law. My mother didn't want to study that either so she left the college again and became hairdresser

My paternal ancestors have mostly been farmers. My great grandfather was a Rittmeister (equivalent of captain in the cavalry) in the Deutsches Heer (Imperial German Army) and a farmer/miller. His father was also a successful farmer and served in the Bavarian military. Elsewhere notable, my great-grandfather on my maternal side was a Oberst (colonel) in the Deutches Heer and a blacksmith/craftsman.

My grandfathers were silversmiths and doctors, respectively (as well as being soldiers in WWII). My father is an architect and my mother is a writer/journalist.

Blacksmiths, farriers, farmers, soldiers, fishermen (i think), barge-workers, coachmen, boot-makers, gardeners, one pharmacist, two bailiffs, servants, paint-mixers ("colourman"). Probably a couple of the other common professions i haven't come across yet are clothiers & textile workers, and miners for example.

Some of those i've said in plural, but i'm just referring to the profession, for example 'gardeners' I've only found one of.

Vast majority were ordinary working people, but a couple had a bit of money. On my Dad's side, one family was quite well off on the back of a farrier's business, and one other branch of the family were fairly well off too, father was a baliff. Not talking major wealth, but they could afford to dress fairly well and did not seem to come into any serious financial difficulty. Although some of my ancestors (not that many though) were pretty much destitute.
