Hello ! Sorry for digging up this topic but I'm curious about greeks islanders pheno. It's hard for a non greek speaker to find sportpeoples or other known face from the Islands. (Except for Crete oddly.) If greeks users (or others of course) could post some greeks islanders I would thank them. (Famous people, crowds...)

Which region(s) do you think look most similar to southern Italians, if any?

Overall central Greece, Crete and the Aegean islands

Southern Italians are a complex mix of Neolithic farmer types (Med, Alpine, Dinaric, all from the population before Greeks), Greeks, Levantines (with a token Semitic element, all Roman imports), indigenous CMs (from pre-Neolithic inhabitants) and Italics. The "Nordid" component is entirely Italic (generally passable as Keltic), dismissing the popular myth that "ancient Greeks were more Nordic than today".

I am moldable almost entirely with ancient Greeks/Minoans, ancient Italics/Illyrians and Yamnaya/Sintashta, and i am from southern Italy, there are also internal differences in southern Italy
