Using any drugs or smoking or drinking during pregnancy will have bad effects on the unborn child.

I know someone who has a bunch of health problems. He isn't too bright either. He told me his mom used to smoke all the time (she died when he was 20). She'd even smoke while she was cooking dinner. Pretty sure she smoked when she was pregnant with him, and I'd bet that caused a lot of his health and mental problems. If I recall correctly, he also told me that he was a low birthweight baby, which is also something that smoking during pregnancy can cause.

Yeah, there is a link between smoking in pregnancy and low birth weight. Apparently though lead poisoning in early childhood has a much more detrimental effect, causes behavioural problems, lowers the IQ and has actually been linked to a growing rate of violent crime in countries where petrol containing lead was widespread. Once the rate of exposure dwindled after some time we started seeing a decline in some of it.

You can still find lead in soil next to roads that existed when leaded gas was in use, even though here in the USA leaded gas has been banned since 1995 and for all practical purposes and intents hasn't been used much since the early 80s. (I don't recall EVER seeing a pump that sold leaded gas, even in the 80s).

No. A kippah is not a sacred item. It's just a head covering. In the 19th century people just wore hats like everyone else. A kippa is practical; it's for people who don't want to wear head coverings but still need to. A lot of my relatives wear baseball caps in public instead.

Anyway some kippot are much bigger anyway, particularly Bukharan style kippot. I used to wear them all the time.

What’s your favorite Springsteen song?

I don't know, who has 'favourite' anything? Loads of people, I guess, but I struggle. I've recently been listening to the live in Dublin album but are those my 'favourite' songs? I've seen him twice in concert and I like the majority of his albums. Different songs for different moods really? His cover of Outlaw Pete and Thunder Road and Tunnel of Love are different types of song, namsaying? You can't just rank them.
