i didnt say russian animation influenced japan but that russians invented anime first. Second america maybe influenced japan but europe influenced america. All your americans are just copying european culture in a degenerate form. Just look at talkin he was inspired by european middle age culture and espacially swedish and finnic languages thats how he invented lord of the rings which are the basic for every other RPGs dungeons and dragons media may it be japanese or american. The Roosevelt administration had so many economic sanctions on Japan, it was necessary for them to attack. A vast amount of their supplies, specifically fuel I believe, were being bought from the US. The US made it clear that they had intentions to enter the war, and Japan took the opportunity to destroy as much of their superior navy as possible. The US military elite knew this was happening, but did nothing about it, at the event would have to be sufficiently tragic enough to warrant a declaration of war. They did, however, send all of their aircraft carriers away on a training drill, which were what they really needed and would have trouble replacing. Why would Japan attack an officially "neutral" country and bring them officially into the war if it wasn't necessary, especially a military power like the US?

Regardless, a first strike is not necessarily "cowardly". People use the words "cowardly" and "ignorant" incorrectly so much nowadays, it's rather a nuisance. One could argue that the Japanese were far more brave than American soldiers, who were equipped with more expensive hardware- including flamethrowers and shit. They used inferior weapons (especially bolt-action rifles instead of the M1 Garand which is totally BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM 'Murika), human wave attacks (with bayonets!), kamikaze strikes, and a host of other stuff that requires a massive amount of courage to use against a more heavily armed foe.
