Which countries/ethnicities/nationalities look out of place for their location?

I mean that as you go from Britain eastward -- Norway, Sweden, Finland, Lithuania, Latvia, Russia -- the people get lighter and blonder, which to me shows that at least at such a northernly latitude, people get lighter as you go east.

But at a southernly latitude the opposite is true, I think people look darker as you go east -- Iberians, as a collective, are lighter than central-southern Italians and Greeks as a collective even though specific regions in each place may be exceptions to the rule -- and then Cyprus and the Levant are darker than them all.

True, but there are also some 'purer' Persian types that are, on average, notably lighter than either (non-Levantine) Arabs or South Asians.

1) Sicilians and Maltese. They look closer to Cypriots than to most of their immediate neighbors (except mainland southern Italians and Aegean islanders), but are not geographically close to Cyprus.

2) Armenia. They look more Levantine than their location suggests.

3) Southern Spaniards. You would not guess they are located right near Morocco even though there is some overlap.

4) Egypt. The difference between Egypt and the Levant is quite noticeable despite proximity.

5) Crete. Despite being the southernmost Greek island, they're the lightest.

Again, not always true - most studies show Germans to be blonder than Poles, for example. But if you were solely referring to Sweden, Finland and the Baltic states, then yes.

Norway, Denmark and Sweden are on par or even more south(Denmark is located more south than Estonia and the vast majority of all Swedes live in the southern 1/3 part of Sweden) than the Baltic states but Scandinavians are on average lighter when it comes to hair color and about equally light eyed.

The more East you go the people become slightly more CM influenced.

True, but I say taking them as a whole they fit as you can even find such purer types in Afghanistan.

No one so far has debated my suggestions about either Brits or Iranians being out of place for their locations.

The British I have seen in real life are far more blond than it is said in this forum and they are very pale skinned. But I really don't know because I have never been to Britain, I only know by seeing the people in the LA pubs, Hong Kong and other British people I met in the military.

They do not look Levantine as a whole but visibly more Levantine than their neighbors are (Georgians, Azeris, eastern Turks, Kurds).

Are you insane? do you know how spread the armenian populatian is? there are 600 000 armenians from the levant who mostly flew to the USA and over the time ofcourse they will look more like them.
But the armenians who are from the caucasus arent. I made a thread about people who dont know shit about a country but constantly talk about them

THere are even armenians from india, who surprise surprise look a bit indian shifted.
