This thread comes at a convenient time for me -- I've started drinking coffee again during the last week, after months and months of total caffeine abstinence.

I only drink coffee at work (although I think I have a jar of NesCafe at home somewhere for surprise visitors -- yum yum), and no more than two cups a day usually. Just the regular paper-filter mud that everybody in this country drinks.

And how do I like it? Lots of cream, lots of sugar.

I drink instant coffee and make one cup at a time. I make mine rather strong and some times I put a little milk (3.5 %) or coffee cream (9 %) in my coffee.

    Some facts about consumption.

When it comes to tea, I like lapsang souchong, earl grey, ceylon and other longstanding varieties.

I drink 4-5 cups (actual mugs, not the measurement "cup") of coffee every day. I take mine with about 1/8-1/4 of a teaspoon of sugar and a reasonable amount of cream.

I didn't expect northern men being so heavy consumers of coffee.

People here need lots of caffeine to make it through the long, dark and cold winter.

Real Englishmen drink tea, personally I couldn’t survive without it, a happy man needs only a cup of tea and a voiding of the bowels……preferably not at the same time.
I believe that legends and myth are largely made of
“truth”, and indeed present aspects of it that can only be received in this mode; and long ago certain truths and modes of this kind were discovered and must always reappear.

    J.R.R. Tolkien

Indeed it might be a basic characteristic of existence that those who would know it completely would perish, in which case the strength of a spirit should be measured according to how much of the “truth” one could still barely endure-or to put it more clearly, to what degree one would require it to be thinned down, shrouded, sweetened, blunted, falsified.
    Nietzsche

To God everything is beautiful, good, and just; humans, however, think some things are unjust and others just.
    Heraclitus
