There is a mass ritual of animal killings and most of the people who perform the killings are not the most efficient butchers nor do they have the best tools. So you can imagine certain amount of the meat probably does go to waste. It is however nothing like the article makes it seem. Nah we are meat eaters. There isnt enough diversity in vegetation for one to live off of in Nepal. Plus farming in a hilly terrain is virtually impossible without modern machinery.
