SA is unsafe for tourists: lodge owner

HAZYVIEW - A French detective was sent by his embassy to Hazyview following a murder be*cause "the South African Police have turned their backs on crime," said lodge owner Henk Brink.
Brink is a Dutch immigrant who is well-known for having crossed the Atlantic ocean in a hot air balloon with his wife in the Eighties.
He also warned the local police that "no visitor from outside the country is safe".
The warning comes only days after the third murder at his lodge since 2007, on Saturday.
He says he has already reported 49 serious attacks at his lodge to the Hazyview police.
Brink's wife and two daughters have since fled South Africa.
During the latest murder, eight traumatised Australian tourists had to hide under their beds. The murder occurred about 80m from where they were booked in.
The group had only been in the country for a few hours.
Brink said members of the group phoned him at about lam on Saturday saying a woman was yelling frantically.

"She cried out, yelled - begging for help - she fought for the right to live," Brink said.
The police were called and they shot four times hi the air after they could not find anything. The body of the woman was found the next day at a dam nearby.
Her murderer apparently drowned her after a struggle.
Workers had to retrieve the body after police "were standing around with folded arms".
Brink says there is a land claim on the lodge therefore he cannot leave the country. He believes he could himself be murdered before being able to join his family.
Police spokesman senior super*intendent Sibongile Nkosi de*scribed Brink's story as an "isol*ated incident" which he strongly denies as all his "neighbours are also struggling with frequent break-ins". - CNS

Forget the tourists, it's unsafe for South Africans! It's the sad end result of what happens once Zionist Liberals get their way and have their version of "democracy", "human rights", "freedom" and "liberal values" implemented.

I know the area well, and it's a little stupid to put up a lodge in Hazyview, right on the doorstep of a poor black reservoir of over 1 million, ranging from Hazyview/Acornhoek/Bosbokrand etc. The proximity to the Kruger National Park is of course the reason, but it's greed for tourism money that forces these people to take risks in dodgy areas. He would probably have been safer to put up his lodge in the middle of Soweto.

I'm not very up to date about the situation in SA but I remember seeing stuff like this on the news.

Agreed especially when one thinks back 5 or 10 years ago with all the riots there, I do agree with Roy that this should have been solved with the take over and the police.

I must find out where in Hazyview he is and offer my abode.Jeez waiting for the land claim to finalize is waiting for SA to become civilized. They are 4 years behind on the claims and 200 years behind on civilizing

In that area yes,funny enough it is quiet in Pelgrims Rest,half the town belongs to a bunch of Arabs.
In the Hotel I called every Tom Dick or Harry by the name Mohamed and the Afs by Yusef and the Arab owner by Hadjj and the rotten mosquitoes by addergebroed=Brood of vipers
