The Finnish Kale (Romani: Kàlo, Finnish: Kaale or the Finnish Romani (Suomen romanit) are a group of the Romani people that live primarily in Finland and Sweden.
Their main languages are Finnish and Finnish Romani. They are mostly Christian.

Today there are about 10,000 Finnish Kale living in Finland (0.2% of the population) and a further 3,000 in Sweden.

They look to have mixed heavily with the local native population, because original romans look nothing like this, only a few people here represent the roma phenotype.

This is an old thread, but Gypsies in Finland call ethnic Finns "valkoinen" (white) and they are themselves called "mustalainen" (black). I don't know if they have white skin in the European sense in general.

The most noticeable physical trait of the Gypsies, remarked everywhere from their first appearance to the present, is their dark pigmentation. In skin color this is often so dark as to exclude them, in popular estimation, from membership in the white race. - C.Coon, The Races of Europe, 1939, ch: The Gypsies
