Atlantid / nordid. Only typical near Palermo but atypical elsewhere .

Typical? How so? The guys he is with in the pic look nothing like him. Not RARE but not typical. More like a S French man.

His look appears with some frequency in Palermo but he would stand out in Messina and Catania quite a bit as well as the darker areas in southern Sicily like Agrigento.

He's not typical, he's Atlantid with red hair and freckles. Granted, he's not the most atypical you could find but I'd never look at him and go "He must be Sicilian", because it's not obvious.
