Default Croatian pastry filled with pekmez

    Recipe for 2-3 people:

    350 g flour

    2 eggs

    pinch of salt

warm water if necessary (between 0.5 and 1 oz)

    oil + nuts

    plum jam (plum, apricot jam)

    Preparation:

In a bowl, sift the flour and salt. Form a hollow in which to put the eggs. Eggs short stir up with fork to get a more smoothly mixture. Knead the dough by hand, occasionally adding warm water. The dough should be of medium hardness, enough wet that it can later to paste.
Roll out the dough to a thickness of about 3 mm (as thin as you can). With rotary wheel or knife cut off rectangles to desired size. On each rectangle put half a teaspoon of jam (pekmez). Fold the rectangle by crossways to get pillows. Press your fingers first, and then press the fork. Prepared pillows disposed on a kitchen cloth with a thin layer of flour.
When you shape the pillows, boil water with a little salt and oil and cook it 10 minutes.

Dip the pillows in the nuts at the end.

It is essential that the jam should be thick because otherwise he would run out of pillows.
