Default Most common "Mediterranean" type in southern Italy: Atlanto-Med, Gracile Med, East Med or Pontid?

    Which is it?

I'd say a tie between Gracile and East Med, with limited Atlanto-Med and Pontid.

I won't list Dinaro-Med as its own since any kind of Mediterranean can be Dinaricized.

What happened to Gracile and East Med? Atlanto-Med is the Med type in Spain, and France.

Well, Atlanto-Mediterranid in the North at least, East Med in the South.

The question is referring only to southern Italy i.e. Sicily, Calabria, Apulia etc.
Granted, you can find all 4 of the major Med types there. Atlanto-Med is more northern Italy IMO.

Oh, okay, I read the question wrong. Yeah, all Med types are present, but East Med is more common in the South than the other types.

I'd say for southern Italy it'd go East Med > Gracile Med > Atlanto-Med > Pontid in that order. Campania might have more Atlanto-Med than East Med though, while Apulia might have more Pontid types. But Calabria is almost purely East Med.

Yeah, I agree, but all these regions also have significant Dinarid, and Alpinid influence, and minor Armenid, and Semitic.

There are Atlanto-Meds and Atlantids in Sicily, but I think there are far fewer in Calabria. It might be due to the fact that there was historically more migration from Campania to Sicily, than Campania to Calabria. But I still think East and Gracile Med dominate.
