I am the kind that seems to adapt my taste to the current season. I drink Sake during the spring, Kriek in summer, Bock, dark abbey beers or mead during autumn and mead or Grand Marnier during the winter months (or hot chocolate that has been infused with wodka or cognac).

On any given day, my house will usually contain:

• a bottle of Jagermeister in the freezer

• a bottle of either Whisky, Bourbon or Scotch in the cupboard

• and a bottle of Cognac next to it

Although I've been into bourbon of late, I've always had a soft spot for a finely crafted ale or beer. I just finished a 'Banana Bread Beer' that was brewed from bananas, malt, rye, and spices. Flavorful! In most watering holes around here, good ones are hard to find, so I usually pick whatever Sam Adams seasonal beer is available. Bottoms up!
