Well many of Croats still thinks that but everyone respects their nationality.

But I remember one funny joke from my professor in college about them...

Before 1918, Slovenians were basically Slavs, thats it, so every nation had name for themselves which had for centuries, but slavs from slovenia went for original new one: SLOVENIA lol.

Hell yeah... Slavia, Slovenia.. Who cares, they went for that imaginative and original name as Slavs/Slovens; SLOVENIA... Yeah! Lol.

North Croatian dialect is basically almost same as Slovenian language lol.

Croatia could be decided into 5 regions: southern Croatia, western Croatia, eastern Croatia, central Croatia and northern Croatia. Only some parts of northern Croatia show similarity with Slovenians. Why are you want to croatized Slovenians?
