    From FamilyTreeDNA:

    rs1805009 - not found
    rs2228479 - AG
    rs1805006 - CC
    rs1805007 - not found
    rs1805008 - CC
    rs1805005 - GG

    1 variant

I have two cousins who have reddish brown hair, but that's about it. Almost everyone in my family has blond hair, but: rs1805005 - GG

rs1805005 is an MC1R mutation, but linked to light blond hair color rather than red hair color. I just lumped it in because it's another important MC1R mutation.

I have dark blond hair with reddish strands, extremly fair skin (i don't tan very well and i need sunscreen), some freckles, my aunt (father's sister) is a pure ginger with a lot of freckles and milkish skin.

I'm also CT on rs1667394 so i also got the blond allele, i was orange-blond haired as a kid, now a darker blond:

Looks like I have one. Hair was platinum blonde changed to dark blonde with maturity. I tan well.

I do have a few red whiskers though.

Having grown my beard out I see where all the light-haired pigmented genes went. Soon they'll call me Barbarossa.
