    The first modern audio recorded version of the song is by Macedonian folk singer Aleksandar Sarievski. It is a remake from an older song called "cernej goro, cernej sestro". I think it might originate from Vardar Macedonia. You can call it a Macedonian or Bulgarian or Serbian song, but it does not change the fact of its beauty.
