I'm into seinen and mostly dark psychology sci-fi anime. My favs of this genre are Evangelion, Lain, Texhnolyze and Ergo Proxy - I would like to say that GITS but I haven't finished it.. yet. And my fav psychological-thrillers are Monster, Death Note and Paranoia Agent. But I also enjoy some good fantasy-medieval ones like Berserk, Claymore and the classic Slayer. Other animes that I care to remember are Black Lagoon, Canaan, GTO, Wolf's Rain, One Piece, .hack, Getbackers, Durarara, Kino no Tabi, Shingeki No Kyojin, Hunter x Hunter, Denno Coil and Ganz - (I shamely had to admit that I'd watched Nana xd). I also lately finished RideBack and Jormungand. And personally I dislike otakus, no shit - they're too freaky.
DB and Digimon don't count. They're obviously watched by any one that says that like anime.
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people will not feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone and as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give others permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

They should show pornography to children, but nudity is fine to show even to them in my opinion. Children can handle that just fine. Of course don't explicitly show it in programmes aimed toward children, but if 'children might watch' I think 'too bad'. And as you say, children who grew up in the '80s and '90s tend to be less rotten anyway (even though you might exaggerate )

The ones I like of the top of my head (in no specific order)
Sword Art Online, Fairy Tail, Soul Eater, DBZ, Death Note, DB, FMA, FMAB, even the early seasons of Pokémon are decent

The internet opens up a gateway to worse things indeed. I was 14 until I got access to the internet and the closest to pornography I got to was that one VCS tape I found in my parents' room when they were away for a few hours and some magazines you could buy from a vending machine (brilliant idea of the kiosk owner btw). Today's youth gets exposed to more hardcore pornography at a way younger age, via the internet.
Some bare boobies people see at the beach anyway and some sexual humour like in Ranma 1/2 are nothing.
