Who looks more out of place for their location? Brits or Iranians?

This may sound like an odd and random question, but in a previous thread of mine, I asked people to discuss which ethnicities/nationalities/countries look out of place for their location, and I nominated Brits and Iranians. Here's why:

(1) BRITS: Despite the fact that most of Britain has a more northerly latitude than the Netherlands and Germany, British people are, as a whole, noticeably darker-haired than Dutch and German people. This goes against the usual trend in Europe where, the further north you go, the more blondes there are.

(2) IRANIANS: Despite being located so far east, Iranians are, as a whole, considerably lighter-complexioned than Iraqis, Gulf Arabs and South Asians. Thus, their location does seem somewhat anomalous.

British people are far lighter in terms of hair and eye pigmentation than south Germans. Britain is warmed by the Gulf Stream whereas Germany and the Netherlands aren't - not that latitude has much effect on pigmentation.

Most Iranians are not noticeably lighter than other Indo-Aryans. If they're lighter than Iraqis it's because Iraqis owe a lot of their genetics to Arabians who 'Arabised' the place in the 700s/800s.

Far lighter than South Germans? Really? Anyway, Birmingham is farther north than even Berlin, yet I bet that one sees considerably more blondes among the native White population in the latter than in the former. As for Iranians, they look noticeably lighter than both Iraqis and Pakistanis, and only have a certain degree of overlap with either of them.

I LIVE IN THE UK, CURRENTLY IN WALES AND PREVIOUSLY IN ENGLAND! Furthermore, I have seen enough German and Dutch people in photos, on TV and, most crucially, in person to know that the British are noticeably less blonde than them as a whole.

Yes, a majority of native English people do have light eyes and hair, BUT NOT AS MUCH AS DO THE DUTCH AND GERMANS. Furthermore, the purpose of the thread is to debate why these anomalies in ethnic groups/nations occur viz-a-viz their neighbours.

Than the Dutch and North Germans, yeah, the Welsh and Brummies are less blonde. Go to East Anglia sometime.
