Oh so exploiting them is still fine? I doubt that many of the high ranking officials who make decisions in the Kremlin are half Khanty or Mansi or Nganasan. What kind of logic do you have? BTW many people here actually are mixed with the native population.

Proper finnics would not behave like russians. Russians are a shining counter-example for finns and estonians for not to give up their finnic roots. If you have any finnic roots in you, you should learn the language of your finnic ancestors and respect the culture of your finnic ancestors.

As to native americans, I am sure that they can see very well what russians (and germans) have done to uralics. They (native americans) come visit Estonia every year and have workshops here, dance rituals and sauna. Amerindians are genetically and culturally closer to estonians than to russians.

Both have killed. Both have mixed.
The difference being that none of the north-american tribes were as large as some of the remaining uralic tribes or siberian tribes. Russians simply didn't have power to do what they always wanted, and still want to do - to complete the forceful russification of natives. There would never have been any russian Novgorod state without an initial treaty - which was soon violated by the swedish and slavic upper class, by the way. And that is why russians have used a slower approach, but the end goals have been pretty much the same.
