Tbh, more than 5 stars is selling more than Madonna nowdays. This is the US 2019's list, notice that "Lover" sold 1kk there(3kk globally)

Can't find Madame x.

Taylor has not sold 1 mil according to this, but 892,000 albums. Now I wanna see how much of those are "album equivalents" = kids who has played her on Spotify, which magically are counted as albums sold! I m sure its not much more than Madame X - physical albums that are actually sold, that is. And she is supposed to be this huge star. In Europe she is not really big.
She is constantly played on radio UNLIKE Madonna. Madame X is probably her least advertise album in her career. Over 500000 albums sold is not that shabby, especially compared to the later arrivals who supposedly eclipsed her like Mariah, Britney or even Gaga (it would be interesting how her new album sells - Joanne sold as Rebel Heart and Gaga was played on radio).

All of them flopped and have less views than any Taylor songs on VEVO. "Look what you made me do" was number one in the U.K and have 1Billion views(Madonna doesnt have any video with 1B, her biggest view is hung up which have 208kk lol)

As for a Star Is Born: thats not a solo album, its a soundtrack. Lets not ignore Bradley Cooper input and the huge amounts WB put into promoting this bore. She got an Oscar for 1/4 of the song she wrote. Madonna performed two songs in movies that won Oscar for their writers: Sooner Or Later for Sondheim and You Must Love Me for Webber and Rice. So you were again wrong, ill informed or simply stupid when you said she didn't win an Oscar. She performed 2 times at the Oscars: in 1991 and in 1997 and both times the songs she sang WON Oscars. She was not a cowriter on those.
However Madonna missed a chance to be nominated for her song Masterpiece in 2012 when she didn't follow a technical rule to be nominated for the song (it didn't play where it had to). The song however went on to win a Golden Globe for Madonna in 2012.
