How do we make sense of the fact that Germany, the nation that committed the most horrific crimes against humanity, is the ancestral homeland for the largest percentage of people in America, that nation the defeated the Nazis, gives the most to charity, and does the most to support Israel? I was just wondering if anyone else finds this strange. Around the world German is synonymous with "Nazi" and "evil", but the fact that America is predominantly of German descent proves that Germans are not inherently evil.

Even Germans from Germany today are rarely anti-Semitic IMO. They are far less racist than the vast majority of other ethnicities (European or non-European) I've come across from my experience.
