Cuba does better at the olympic games than Brazil, or at least they used to. It's a legacy of the soviets helping them in the cold war. So they do better in athletics, boxing and sometimes women's volleyball (there's a big rivalry between the two teams). Brazil is getting better over time though. There are some Brazilian gynnastycs medalists over the last 10 years, and Brazil almost always wins a medal at judo.
