Men who beat their wives use the same twisted logic: "I have my wife's best interest at heart more than anyone else every will because she is mine"
The state should be more involved in parenting, since a state-backed panel of experts knows how to raise children better than virtually all parents do.
And since children grow up to be citizens, the state has a compelling interest in playing a heavy role in how they are raised.

No offense, but this is bullshit.
Parents may love their child more than anyone else does, but that doesn't mean they always know what's best for their child, which is why the government needs to be more involved in parenting.
It's time that people start seeing children as human beings with rights, and not as possessions of their parents.
