What Do You Do For A Living?

I'm a 2nd year Law Student. Graduating soon. Thought about Med School but the Sciences gave me a head ache.

I am a welfare recipient, but I want to be a proof-reader, working from home.

I will have to negotiate payment very carefully, because unless I move out of my:



all the money I earn will go towards paying the rent.

Social housing is not an option for me because I am single and I will never find the requisite points to qualify, so I am stuck with the private sector, which the local council will pay for, up to a certain amount, according to status.

I tried living in a bedsit before, but it was not healthy, and did not even have gas central heating or proper kitchen facillities. Sharing is not an option for me.

There is very little incentive for me to work, but I am going to try and see what is possible.

I study and work as a linguist (finishing Master's this year), most funds(grants) come for field studies/trips. Sometimes I take part-time or free-lance jobs for fast money (varying from translations to script-writing).

I'm finishing my undergrad this spring and hopefully going on to grad school for my Ph. D. (although I haven't even applied yet )

Working for capitalists that gives me the best paycheck. Im working as a carpenter making stairs, but i gladly do projects after work too. Like if someone wants something fixed or perhaps a special made furniture(perhaps with woodcarving). And sometimes i work at a resturant cleaning dishes.

After 5 years I am unemployed starting this week, a month ago i quit my job with 30 days notice, was a firefighter for a year, full time out of which 3 days in a week were graveyard shifts. Lousy, I dare to say embarrassing pay for the risk the job brings itself.

Signed up for college but I sure will always look for part jobs, people that knows me will offer smth here and there, I used to install curtain roads for hotels and big work places and sadly enough used to earn way more for a laughable job anyone can master in a week then i did in the government's one.
