Intelligence is one of the most important qualities that I look for in a man. By intelligence I mean common sense (which a lot of super smart people lack), and well-roundedness. A weak-minded person is an instant turnoff for me... as well as someone without ambitions. Everybody has different strengths but I think that determination and good judgement are signs of intelligence and very important qualities.

This discussion , reminds me of a fairly similiar one I had with some friends... but on the account of men being funny i.e ( their comedical value), and their perception by women.

Most girls when describing someone who striked their fancys are likely to proffer shuch a sentece: -" He is cute, and smart and funny ( or makes me laugh ). Being even perhaps classified has one of the main points of atraction , as it was the case of Jessica Rabbit and her husband.

I think the confusion has to due with the feeble definition of "what is intelligence" and "what is comedy" ... They're much correlated I've always find , since both of them are present in people whom I consider to have at least one of the attributes .... most of the time.

But people don't find the same things funny, in the same manner people don't perhaps find the same things to be of an undeniable intelligent nature.

And some of the definitions I've heard here , wondering what might be this "inteligence" seeked by women isn't remotely correlated to the general consensus of intelligence in the westernized world, in the same way that some of the things that some people find funny haven't got the least of comedical value.

I'll present the conclusion that me and my friends came to, and I feel it's an adequate one:

It's safe to assume that the majority of people in the world are retards, so one could say .... the majority of men are retards & the majority of women are retards ( I'm not going to tackle the relative differences , has it may cause some arguments), but the chances are that the one person you've been chatting in the bar this very evenening is also a retard ... So probably his/her definition of what an inteligent person , or a funny person is, .... is also a retarded one. Wether you choose to engage with the said person albeit the fact that he is a retard, may or may not deem you a retard aswell, this is up for discussion.

I may, of course, be part of this group of fine individuals, and my conclusion is also to be deemed a retarded one. In that case you are to ignore everything I just said.
