Default Do these Irish Travellers have more archaic hominid ancestry than typical for northwest europe?

I mean they don't seem "neanderthal"as the title and comments suggest, but they do seem to have a higher than normal cro-magnon influence even for irish.
    or am I wrong?
I'm looking for people like me, who are crazy, fun, and not afraid of life. and one day when I find them, we'll escape, we'll break out of the zoo.

They are descended from Irish people but it is a lower substratum of Irish society that they are derived from. I imagine their culture and life-style has poor selection pressures for intelligence and selection for aggression. It's also possible they are affected by inbreeding which could degrade their genetic quality. I think travellers are crafty and clever in a kind of way however.
Neanderthals aren't the archetype of savagery by the way, they evolved in a harsh northern climate and had larger brains than modern humans. They where quite intelligent, but likely in a different way to us as they faced different problems. There are many races of humans which are far below neanderthals, better suited to a comparison...
