The brain is mostly made up of fat & cholesterol.

It is very likely that humans would have never became so smart on a vegetarian diet as it is meat fats & cholesterol which support a larger brain.

Perhaps this is why vegetarians are notoriously mentally ill from Hitler to Charles Manson.

Supposedly they have a higher IQ on average, but I doubt it's true if you adjust for ethnicity. Also, brain has to be severely stressed before you actually lose IQ points. Shorter attention span, emotional problems, etc. will crop up long before that happens.

It does seem to me like veggies are usually kind of out there and not in touch with basic reality, but I am not sure which caused which. I do know I can't function without a lot of protein and fat.

Nope, pretty much every big first except wheel, probably came from neanderthals. There was no point in time they existed, where people elsewhere were nearly so advanced.

They haven't done anything great in the last 600,000 years since they existed. if they were so smart why didn't the had the intelligence to avoid being extinct?

I've seen how these Neatherndal lived in many documentaries, they don't look very intelligence. They were more like half human / half animals

I heard the reason why blacks are not intelligene because they lack Neanderthal genes. But I still don't get it? what makes them so smart when in the last hundred thousands years they lived like savages and were stupid enough to even get themselves extinct

Archaeology says otherwise - they were more advanced. Much much more. Cold adaptation leads to bigger brain (and overall body size) and more efficient energy use, which leads to more smarter brains.

I would argue that Neanderthals were smarter than Africans while both had primitive traits such as strong prognathism & short dolichocephalic skulls at least Neanderthals had much larger brains than Africans.

This might not only be the only possible positive function Neanderthals gave to Humans in brain function.

Bruce Lahn the geneticist thought that Neanderthals gave Eurasians a gene on MCPH1 for larger & more developed brains.

It's very basic, they were about as smart as modern primivite african tribe. Although they have been very smart compared to other species it is nowhere close to todays humans intelligence

The first Neatherndal did not look human and plus their ugly as hell even if they did. Humans today have only very little of their genes
