    The failure of the invasion of England was only a chapter of a war that Spain ended up winning.
    And of course, did not mean the decline of the Spanish armada. On the contrary. The Spanish domain lasted until the XVIII century:

    Ok then, the dutch were colonized by spain like the inca empire or the tainos were.
