Your favourite alcoholic beverage?

vodka and me don't mix well. wine i don't like. Beer is yummy. English brown ale, Belgian saison, German dunkle. West coast is crazy about super hoppy beers but I like more malty then hoppy.

Vodka tastes like acid, gin tastes nice, and tequila tastes like a great night.

But personally when I get ready for a night out, I down a bottle of wine first because I'm classy like that (and cheap like that...alcohol has a massive tax in Australia). Beer is too inefficient, and spirits aren't as nice.

Vodka has no taste at all, if anything it tastes slightly sweet and starchy. Gin has a very strange odor and even stanger taste that no amount of mixing or chaser or time can get out of my mouth. I usually start with wine as well. WHITE wine. Red destroys my head.

I'd take redbull vodka over that any day.

forgot to mention i got some single malt whisky from grandpa when he died. freaking awesome. Glenfiddich and a few others

Vodka has quite a strong taste to me, whereas gin is more neutral and welcoming. Maybe we have different taste buds

And I start with white if I'm going to be moving a lot that night. Otherwise red - mellowing and better tasting.

I'd take redbull vodka over that any day.

On the topic of scotch, as somebody mentioned earlier, I can't touch the stuff. It's amazing how one bad experience can ruin a drink forever...even the smell gets me *shudder*

I just finished a bottle of Glenfiddich 15 year a few days ago. I would highly recommend it.

It's a bit on the expensive side.
