    Default Maps of R1a "branches"

    These maps look pretty interesting.

Apparently, the Central European and West Slavic branches correlate with R1a1a7-M458. I wonder which branch I belong to?

Polako, what's your 67-marker haplotype? We can put you on that map.

I have no idea. I haven't taken a 67-marker test yet. Been busy doing the genome-wide thing at 23andMe and deCODEme.

But I'll definitely take an SNP test when European R1a1a (xM458) is broken down further.

Even shorter marker length results will do just fine. We can quickly position you on the proper branches of the R1a tree. The SNPs do help.

You will need to test for the M458 in any case.
