Greece has more than 3.000 islands and outcroppings, more than 100 touristic islands, and plenty of coastline in the mainland too. The places which are crowdy are the ones you know. This beach was unknown until a freighter with contraband cigarettes shipwrecked there at 1980. Now, suddenly, it's a tourist destination:

Navagio Beach (Greek: Ναυάγιο, pronounced [naˈvaʝio]), or Shipwreck Beach, is an exposed cove, sometimes referred to as "Smugglers Cove", on the coast of Zakynthos, in the Ionian Islands of Greece. Navagio Beach was originally known as Agios Georgios. On 2 October 1980, a freightliner, the MV Panagiotis, ran aground in the waters around Zakynthos Island on Navagio Beach during stormy weather and bad visibility. It has been rumored the ship was smuggling contraband such as cigarettes, wine and women.[1] The ship was abandoned and still rests buried in the limestone gravel of the beach that now bears the nickname Shipwreck.[2][3]
The location was prominently featured in the hit Korean dramaDescendants of the Sun leading to a surge of interest among Chinese and Korean tourists.[4][5][6]

Do you know how many other beaches are virtually "undiscovered" in Greece. Miles of them! Greece has the second longest coast length in Europe after Norway...

My dad visited a lot of Greece, especially the Cyclades on the yacht and said that with the help of a boat, you can get to completely unfrequented places, many are only accessible this way. Not a soul in sight, or anly a few.

And its for the better of those decent Greek people that plan or already live simple life in those small islands without touristic destinations.
