And French are too much of swarthy olive-eaters, actually they are the transition between a pale Northern European and a woggy Southern European (especially in the Pays d'Oc). They're the high-stepping yellows of Germans/Dutch and Spaniards. Germans and Brits have more pale-skinned blondes and redheads.
French are mainly composed between two races woggier than the Germanic stock, the Latin and Celtic ones and the Germanic influence is too minor there.

Germans are not pure Germanic, they have trace amounts of admixture from West Asians, Central Asians, Tatars, Huns, Ashkenazis, Mongols....just look at Woggy Wiggy

"Unter" is also a German word, as is Untermensch,

In my opinion, Germans are by far the most overrated people in the world.

Genetically, no significant differences in ability. Culturally, the Germans are currently the best but the English only really shine when facing disaster.

Olive-eating is customary in Languedoc and Provence, the rest is butter land.

There's no "Latin" race, especially not in France. There's an ancient dark stock all over the country, but it widely predates Western Mediterranean Antiquity.
One could consider that the Germanic influence is minor in Germany itself, considering the migratory history of the Germanic tribes from the end of the Bronze Age onwards (that's true of the Celts as well).

I don't get the excitement over the Germans (apart from the Germans themselves).

Northern Germans are quite genetically ''Germanic like'' actually.
