I think it’s the other way around. Slavs and Iranics share Indo-European and Alexander the Great founded Kandahar as Alexandria but the name was changed to Kandahar because of the Gandhara civilization there

Theories about Iranian origin of Croats and Serbs are pure bullshit. Last Sarmatian tribes were deported by Constantine in IVth c. to Roman Thrace and Italy where they completely disappeared. Slavic tribes of Serbs and Croats came from modern East Germany and Czechia and settled in former Illyria during VIIth c. by Heraclius where they mixed with remnants of Illyrians.
