Putin isn't going usher in the end of all these Western instuitions that you hate. Really, this should only be the concern of the people living in these countries. Seeing Putin as some sort of Messiah who will "wipe away the decadence" is beyond ridiculous. The man had no intention of doing anything like that.

But he doesn't have to. He is indeed dangerous for the West just as Stalin was but not because both were/are aggressive expansionists seeking to take more and more. Such attitude is prerogative of Western elites. Putin is dangerous because he has guts, brain and resources to turn away from idea of superiority and exclusivity of Western way of life and develop his own country in different direction. Such stance of Russia will ruin the idea of Western cultural dominance and will set an example for others to go their own ways. That's why West hates Putin, that's why there are so many of these little folk from little countries spit hatred at Russia 24/7: they are jealous because they can't do such thing themselves, they have no choice but to bend over, spread their buttocks for 'big fat brown Murican sausage' and take it ballzdeep with smile on their faces

People thinking that Putin will fix their countries are both deluded and very ignorant regarding the Russian power structure. Vladimir Putin is by no means the autocrat the Western Press would like him to be; he's simply the primus inter paris/visible face of the siloviki, which is the broad collection of all the police/ex-KGB agents that control Russia's military and a good chunk of their institutions (the other ones being ruled by Russian yuppies like Medvedev).

Secondarily, he only cares about Russia, and to some extent, Russian allies. Countries that are today ruled by pro-NATO governments, shouldn't expect much from Russia. Countries that have established some sort of dialogue and lasting cooperation, can expect a moderate degree of support.

which exactly how it is right now as we speak. Just look how many languages are recognized in Russia, or even Crimea, then Serbia,
and finally compare those numbers to Italy or Greece.

By common numbers, Greece and Italy would be proven to be almost fascist in comparison to Russia or Serbia.

I think that Russians cannot elect their governors, that are choosen by the head of State if I am not wrong.
About Italy, there are many sites that explains why it is no more a democratic country, but even so, I can be honestly critic about other countries.

But, even assuming your best intentions, which I am personally not convinced in, to get the right proportions you would need to have more analythical skills distinguishing the true information from propaganda.
