i dont like it when people judge southern italians (or any other ethnic group) based on pictures where everyone is suntanned.. they look entirely different with a lighter (their natural) skin color

That's true but you can't get features off though. it depends if you have strong Med features or not so much too.On light Med features tan won't change something unlike strong ones, even untanned a Southerner is somewhat recognizable, anyway.
