That's a good question, DragonRouge. I was wondering that myself. Is it a precursor of a much larger event, such as a volcanic explosion? This sometimes happens in the Ring of Fire in the Pacific. I thought someone said that there was recent volcanic activity in Martinique. Maybe a larger one could occur soon. Or, could be something else, like the massive event that destroyed the first Port Royal in Jamaica (when it was a pirate entrepot). I'm curious to see what might happen.
