Awww, that's such a cute post.
I'm suprised that you find all of the Chinese food that you've tried doesn't have much taste.... because there's just so much choice of different Chinese dishes with different sauces to try.... , for example, have you tried the range of Chinese stir fries, sweet and sour sauce dishes, food cooked in black bean sauce, yellow bean sauce, oyster sauce... egg foo yung, dishes in ginger or lemon sauces.... loads of choices are often on the menus in good Chinese restaurants... ... so keep experimenting and I'm sure there will be at least one dish you like.... ... also try to look for a popular and recommended good local Chinese restaurant too... ... as this makes a big big difference in the quality of the food served.
Japanese food is more delicate tasting (in my experience)... but I still like a lot of the sushi choices, which is always served with little sachets of hot pale green wasabi mustard paste and a sachet of soy bean sauce and small sachets of pickled ginger to eat with the sushi. You mix the (hot) wasabi mustard paste into the soy sauce in the sushi tray provided... and then dip your sushi into the sauce this way.
I find Japanese tempura vegetables very nice.., and green tea ice-cream served with dark chocolate sauce is a nice delicately flavoured desert that I recommend ... if you try Japanese cuisine one day.
