How is aromantic even a thing. What is the difference between that and asexual? Do some people want a relationship but no sex ever?

It's more that I do not desire nor need romantic relationships. I can form them and maintain them, but I do not desire them at all.

Like, I have them now, because they're nice and it feels nice to have someone to cuddle and kiss, but like, if all my romantic relationships ended, I'd be 100% fine with never having one ever again. I didn't desire or seek out such relationships in my youth, and do not actively search for them now.

It's distinct from asexuality in that, I do experience sexual attraction, quite strongly, I just don't desire relationships at all.

All things considered, I paradoxally probably have such success in forming relationships by virtue of being aromantic. I'm not coming to these men and women seeking a romantic and sexual relationship. I form friendships naturally with people I like, and occasionally they progress so such closeness that we decide we want to take it further.
