Do Haitians, Jamaicans and Afro-Cubans look New World black, or like Africans in the Caribbean?

My impression is that they look like Africans in the Caribbean, and not particularly mixed with anything else especially Haitians. I don't count mulatto Cubans in this question, I mean Cuban blacks.

Unlike African Americans, AfroBrazilians, etc. who look more mixed, I think the populations mentioned above look just African.

I mean do they look admixed and a population that is black but New World, or do they look like Africans who happen to be in the Caribbean (direct transplants)?

even many middle and high class Dominicans are near to pure SSA

But did you mean, pure African as in individual African tribes being the purest in a given new world area (than that would certainly be Haiti - Central African or Ewe/Fon or Cuba - Yoruba) Jamaica and DR are too mixed up in African origins, they come from almost all of West Africa

But Cuba has a lot of Mulattoes (majority) i went there 3 times, i honestly did not see that much pure SSA's, most were griffes and some a the blackest ones always had a grandfather that was either Bahamian, Caymanian, Haitian, or Jamaican. I saw more whites than blacks in Cuba by a long shot, it's just that the blacks/mulattoes are out in the streets in cuba, but the majority were mulatto and quadroons from what i saw, while whites comming up very high

1. Haiti (highest)
2. Bahamas & Turks and Caicos Islands
3. Grenada
4. Saint Vincent & the Grenadines
5. Montserrat
