I think nobody knows what I'm on about.

Ius Sanguinis: is a principle of nationality law by which citizenship is not determined by place of birth but by having one or both parents who are citizens of the state. Children at birth may automatically be citizens if their parents have state citizenship or national identities of ethnic, cultural or other origins. Citizenship can also apply to children whose parents belong to a diaspora and were not themselves citizens of the state conferring citizenship.

Ius Soli: is the right of anyone born in the territory of a state to nationality or citizenship.

    So which do you support?

I don't think people who are born here to two immigrant parents should automatically become citizens, and the reason for that is not out of racism or to punish the children, but because it gives incentive for people to escape their countries without fixing them and to instead overpopulate ours, with our increasingly limited resources.

I think if ONE parent is a citizen and the other an immigrant, the child should get citizenship though, automatically.

In most Ius Sanguinis systems it does indeed work that way, in some such as Italy for example you can have citizenship even born out of the country by having an Italian grandparent.

Yes, that is fine. But the other alternative, ius soli, is a perfect way to allow foreigners to take over another country and there is nothing that can be done.

I actually do not care much in the US whether Latin American immigrants' children are automatically citizens.. my worries is more an Islamic takeover of Europe.

why do you have me as an option?
i support mostly ius sanguinis, but would add a bit of ius soli, for example if two tourists or illegal immigrants have a child on the terretory of a country their children shouldnt get citizenship but if they are legal immigrants who reside in the terretory for 20 years or like that and hold a valid visa (green card etc.) then their children should get citizenship if they are born on that terretory. and think that citizenship can also be granted to foreigners who fit certain criteria (determined by the law).

In that case you really support Ius Soli but with specifications!

I see! I think this is quite an important question for non-sedentary Roma. If everyone had Ius Sanguinis they would have no citizenship at all.
