    Default Burek

The best food in western Balkans. We have it in the bakeries in Croatia too.

What is yours the best stuffing?

    My favorite is cheese burek.

    My favorite is cheese burek.

That type of Bourek was invented in Nish (during Ottoman times) by Serbian cook.

Börek has its origins in the Turkish cuisine (cf. Baklava) and is one of its most significant and, in fact, ancient elements of the Turkish cuisine, having been developed by the Turks of Central Asia before their westward migration to Anatolia.
