I see my female students, nearly every day (I've got lunch hall duty this semester--oh, joy!), bypass the healthy offernings to pick at slices of cheese pizza and scarf down french fries.

Oh, I've seen a few who get the salad offerings, but they are in the minority. It's the influence of their parents who've never taught them to eat properly.

My own kids were/are vigorous omnivores (my little guy is the only kid in his class that loves calamari and catfish!). Now, to work on the grandkids . . .
