No, but its prisons are pretty horrible, and they do have open-air beheadings, stonings and amputations.

North Korea is basically Stalinist Soviet Union. People live in a prison, no exchange with the outside world at all. Saudi Arabia is much more open to the rest of the world.

Yes and no. There is plenty of business and immigration from the outside world, but until recently tourism in the conventional sense was forbidden, and non-Muslims still cannot visit Mecca and Medina. Furthermore, there is still very strict censorship in terms of what can be shown and said in Saudi.

At least in Saudi Arabia you have freedom to leave the country.

Although it is still much harder for a woman to do so.

There's actual access to the internet, social media, etc in Saudi Arabia. It is a different world to north korea.

I dont care about non-Muslims or tourists. I care about what the people living there experience. They at least get to interact with Muslims coming from all over the world.

Saudi arabia is oppressive towards its south asian and sub saharan expats(also to an extent, southeast aisans)

However tourists can do as theyre pleased, almost(act normal).

I believe north korea is more oppressive here. Saudi arabia is really just bad for south asian and african expats + people who on purpose are trying to stir things up by being anti-islamic
