A little known fact is that Italy is full of abandoned towns throughout the entire country known as ghost towns. Apice Vecchio is a large town that has been left empty since a couple major earthquakes killed a lot of its inhabitants back in the 1960s and 1980s. Spanian makes his way through the Italian countryside to Apice to explore what remains of this forgotten place.

Gubbio is one of the most interesting towns in the Umbria region. The main monuments are the Palazzo dei Consoli (Palace of the Consuls), the Duomo (cathedral) and some churches like San Francesco. Gubbio has many medieval streets and alleys.

In the Italian capital, almost 3000 years of architectural and cultural history meet a local transport network where fans of classic vehicles get their money's worth. The tram only runs on part of the originally extensive network, but you can still experience numerous cars from the 1940s and another highlight is the street-level suburban railway to Centocelle with trains that are almost 100 years old. The Bridge of Sighs (Italian: Ponte dei Sospiri, Venetian: Ponte de i Sospiri) is a bridge in Venice, Italy. The enclosed bridge is made of white limestone, has windows with stone bars, passes over the Rio di Palazzo, and connects the New Prison (Prigioni Nuove) to the interrogation rooms in the Doge's Palace. It was designed by Antonio Contino, whose uncle Antonio da Ponte designed the Rialto Bridge, and it was built in 1600.

The view from the Bridge of Sighs was the last view of Venice that convicts saw before their imprisonment. The bridge's English name was bequeathed by Lord Byron in the 19th century as a translation from the Italian "Ponte dei sospiri", from the suggestion that prisoners would sigh at their final view of beautiful Venice through the window before being taken down to their cells.
