Why are today's young women so unashamed about being fat?

I think people aren't fully aware of how unhealthy it is to be overweight, and how hard it is to lose weight after you've gained a lot of it.

I have read somewhere that once you reach a certain BMI (body mass index, I think it was 28) point, there is no going back, you will Always be prone to gain the weight back even if you lose the weight and become skinny again.

That is because once your cell fats inflate to a certain point, they never go back to their original state, and you will always be struggling to keep the excessive weight away. That is why it is important to never reach that point in the first place.

And fat girls, stop being mean to skinny girls. Especially the nice kinds. I'm not referring to like judgmental skinny girls. Why would you judge a skinny sweet girl? No reason. They are healthier and haven't done anything mean. I don't mean anorexic, but just skinny.

I hate when people use the term "real women" it is quit frankly insulting to girls that are naturaly thin and can't gain weight easily. Then they get offended if you insult themn back.

In America fat people are very common, so it's very natural to be familiar with obese people.
In Europe fat people are still discriminated.

I assume you live in a remote and secret well or just do not pick up things that easily. I hear it being said implicitly all the time; less times explicitly, but even explicitly it is said oftentimes.

I do believe in some rare people have medical problems like PCOS/hypothyroidism as well, but it only accounts for so much.. my weight is still average, yet i have both medical conditions.

Morbidly obese people are obese because they eat the wrong food and don't exercise enough to burn it off.. and as you say, they've gotten to such a body extreme, it's hard to reverse and many simply give up or have to opt for surgery or gastric bypasses when they can afford it, etc.

All women, even anorexics, have some meat on their bone. Those who shout this inane slogan, however, tend to think of only fat women as having some meat on their bones. After all, if you can fit into an average-sized door without the utilization of excellent spatial-problem solving skills everyday, as if you bought new furniture each and every day, you are obviously anorexic. Anything else is just thin privilege speaking.
